Chelsea’s Capital One cup loss to Stoke evokes hilarious reaction on Twitter as UK papers go to town
THE UK press and Twittersphere have handed Jose Mourinho his head on a plate after Chelsea’s disastrous Cup calamity at Stoke.
THEIR Premier League title defence was already in tatters and now Jose Mourinho’s hopes of a second consecutive Capital One Cup are over.
The Blues were spectacularly bundled out on penalties by Stoke City in their fourth round match, plunging their already disastrous season to new depths.
Many in the UK press had already been calling time on Mourinho’s reign at Chelsea and their latest loss added further fuel to the fire already careering its way down Fleet Street.
