MARK Bridge and Mitch Nichols have proven they have some of the best link up play in the league after notching three goals and assists between in the Wanderers’ 4-3 win over Melbourne City.

Bridge assisted the first goal of the match when he slid a pass through for Nichols to run on to and finesse into the bottom corner of Thomas Sorensen’s net in the 32nd minute.

Nichols then returned the favour to Bridge in the 60th minute after the Wanderers’ midfielder played a pass to the striker that he struck into the top right corner of the goal.

Six minutes later the two Western Sydney stars made it three goals and assists between them as Nichols played a chip-pass over Sorensen and towards the goal for Bridge to put tap into City’s net.

Melbourne City fought their way back into the match with goals from Harry Novillo and Bruno Fornaroli in the 76th and 78th minutes, but Romeo Castelen assisted Brendon Santalab for the Wanderers’ fourth goal in the 89th minute.

Erik Paartalu scored a 93rd minute injury time goal to make it 4-3, but it wasn’t enough as the Wanderers ran out victors.
