TOUR Down Under stars could not resist the temptation to play around on the unicycles, dragsters and triple decker bikes that will be used to rev up crowds at stage starts and finishes next week.

German champion Andre Greipel and his Lotto Belisol teammate Marcel Sieberg took the Santos Super Cycles for a spin around Victoria Square on Wednesday.

A troupe of trick bike riders put together by Bamboozled Productions will perform as characters from various countries in a series of mock races at Prospect, Stirling, Campbelltown, Unley and Victor Harbor.

Australia will be represented by bogan "Bazza" on a dragster bike almost 3m long.

"This race is an acrobatic, juggling, suspense-building entertainment explosion," Bamboozled Productions artistic director Louise Clarke said.
