COMMONWEALTH Games cycling champion Stephanie Morton is pleading for the return of her training bike which was stolen from her car overnight.
The Adelaide 22-year-old is also without a bag of training equipment after thieves smashed a window of her car.
Morton took to Twitter this morning asking the Adelaide cycling public to keep an eye out for her bike which is a medium-sized Scott Foil which is black and green in colour.
She also enlisted the help of teammate Anna Meares who turned to Facebook to try to recover the bike.
Morton beat Meares in the final of the women’s sprint at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in July which was her biggest individual achievement since winning a gold medal as a pilot rider in the 2012 London Paralympics.
She recently contested the Mexico World Cup as she builds towards the national and world championships next year.
