* You’re in charge of your own fantasy cricket team of 17 players who score points for real-life acts such as runs, wickets and catches.

The first ball of the new tournament will be bowled on December 14 when the Perth Scorchers take on Sydney Sixers.

Aussie Test stars will return to their franchises from mid-January, when Mitch Starc is expected to play his first BBL match in 11 years for Sydney Sixers.
