Katy Perry kicks off Women’s T20 World Cup Final in style with dancing cricket bats
Katy Perry has steered into the skid of her “Left Shark” Super Bowl performance with an equally bizarre backing in the Women’s T20 World Cup final.
Katy Perry made her mark at the Women’s T20 World Cup Final as she delivered a memorable performance in the pre-match entertainment.
The music megastar got the MCG crowd of more than 80,000 people in the mood for the decider before Australia wrapped up another title with an 85-run win over India.

Perry’s show started somewhat strangely as she appeared from behind a series of backup dancers dressed as cricket bats.
It follows in the footsteps of her famous Super Bowl performance with “Left Shark”.
It can't be a Katy Perry concert if there's no Left Shark #T20WorldCup pic.twitter.com/1n4E9qzlmI

Perry kicked things off with her hit song Roar, then followed it up with Firework, hitting on her inspirational back catalogue which worked perfectly on International Women’s Day.
While it lasted just two songs, it was a brilliant start to the final with plenty of fans dancing along.
Social media was all for the performance from Perry.
Look if a concert doesnât have dancing cricket bats and girls forming #iwd symbols then Iâm not interested. That was pretty epic. #katyperry #T20WorldCupFinal pic.twitter.com/ce8Ua4cAao

The performance came just days after the 35-year-old revealed she was pregnant with her first child.
She revealed the news in the music video for her latest song Never Worn White.
The ballad appears to have been inspired by her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom.
