Melbourne Renegades record biggest ever loss in BBL history, losing by 145 runs to Sydney Sixers
The Melbourne Renegades have been left absolutely humiliated on a record night, demolishing the most unwanted record in the BBL.
The Melbourne Renegades have been demolished by biggest margin in Big Bash League history with a 145-run thrashing at the hands of the Sydney Sixers.
Chasing the Sixers' 4/205, the Renegades were horrifically bad, only just avoiding the lowest score in the history of the BBL but easily claiming the worst loss, beating their own 112-run thrashing from the 2015.

The Renegades actually hold the only three 100+ run losses in the history of the league.
"The Sydney Sixers absolutely destroyed the Melbourne Renegades," Mark Howard said.
No Renegades player got going but the team lost 4/1 in the space of eight balls late in the piece, punctuated by another piece of fielding mastery from Jordan Silk.
The Renegades were 7/43 when Benny Howell top edged a pull shot with Silk sprinting in to take a great catch, sprinting in from the boundary and only just making it.
But three balls later, the Renegades were 9/43.
"Woeful, that's what I'd call it," Mark Waugh said.
"This is a performance that the Renegades would just want deleted," Brett Lee added.
Chasing 205, the Renegades would have needed to make it to 95 just to avoid the biggest ever loss.
The side needed to get to 57 to avoid the record for the lowest score ever, avoiding it when Kane Richardson hit a massive six, equalling the highest score in the Renegades innings.
The Renegades already own the lowest score in BBL history as well.
Josh Philippe has led the Sixers to the massive score with a masterful 95 off 57 balls before he was dismissed in the final over.
It's the highest score by a Sydney Sixer, and fell just short of the first century for the club, the final club to reach the record.
But the total was the first time the Sixers had scored 200+ in a BBL match.
Jordan Silk piling of 45 off 19 balls in an incredible performance, while Dan Christian added 11 in just three balls as the men in magenta piled on the hurt with the bat, unaware of what was to come with the ball.
Earlier, the Hobart Hurricanes continued a perfect start to the season against the Adelaide Strikers.
The Hurricanes won by 11 runs after D'Arcy Short's 48-ball 72 as the side piled on 5/174.
Short was out for a golden duck in the season opening game but made no mistake on Sunday, including hitting his last 34 runs from just eight balls in a huge return to form.
The Strikers appeared to be never in the hunt, falling to 9/102 after 14.4 overs.
With nothing to lose, Daniel Worrall smashed 62 not out off 39 balls - the highest score by a no.8 - while Danny Briggs hit the highest BBL score for a no.11 with an 18-ball 35.
The 61-run last wicket stand was a record for the BBL and second highest in all Men's T20s but wasn't enough to save the day for Adelaide in their first game of the season.

BBL fans appreciated the last pair keeping the game interesting with 18 needed off the final over but the pair were only able to manage six.
Incredible striking from âThe Weapon 180â Franky Worrall. Always been a crisp striker of the ball! #BBL10 @7Cricket @BBL pic.twitter.com/WQn6Fusi5D

Put it this way: if Worrall and Briggs had got the Strikers over the line that would have been a bit of a rewrite#BBL10
