‘Best you’ll see’: Big Bash stunned by epic one-handed catch
Cricket fans lost their minds after a youngster took a stunning catch in the Big Bash many are already calling one of the best ever.
Melbourne Renegades young gun Jake Fraser-McGurk has produced a ridiculous piece of athleticism to take one of the best catches the Big Bash has ever seen.
Fielding on the boundary at deep mid-wicket, the 19-year-old leapt up high and plucked the ball out of the air with his right hand outstretched.

The Adelaide Strikers’ Jake Weatherald struck the ball off Zahir Khan low and hard and it looked like it was sailing over Fraser-McGurk’s head for six, only for the teenager to reel in an absolute screamer to dismiss Weatherald for 18.
The commentators in awe at the incredible catch, describing it as one of the best ever outfield catches.
“What a catch!” former Australian fast bowler Brendon Julian said on Fox Cricket.
“Unbelievable. Fraser-McGurk with a one-hand screamer on the boundary.
“We are going to see that catch replayed right throughout the whole summer.
“That is one of the best I’ve seen. The youngster takes a screamer on the boundary.
“He’s taken a hanger.”
Ex-Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin said Fraser-McGurk’s perfectly timed leap was similar to an AFL player taking a specky.
“That’s one of the best outfield catches you’ll ever see,” Haddin said.
“One hand. What a catch. He’s set up like an Aussie rules mark. He’s come in, he’s timed his jump to perfection and that’s just great athleticism.”
Viewers were in disbelief at Fraser-McGurk’s incredible feat, with many already declaring there won’t be a better catch taken this summer.

Fraser-McGurk’s heroics weren’t in vain either. The Renegades scored 153 but it was a tight run chase, with the Strikers falling just three runs short of the total off their 20 overs.
The result means the Renegades join the Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder as the first three teams to notch up vicories in BBL11.
