Raman also shared an excerpt of her adorable wedding vows to Maxwell.
“It doesn’t matter where life takes us as long as I am with you I know I am home,” she said.
“I promise to be your number one fan, supporting you through the highs and lows, to always be interested when you excitedly talk about your day on the golf course and of course to occasionally let you win an argument!”
The loved-up couple posted several heartfelt photos of their wedding day — much to the delight of fans of Maxwell and the Australian cricket community.
Former Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson commented: “awwww congratulations”, while Australian T20 and ODI captain Aaron Finch reacted to the news with three love heart eyes.
Nathan Lyon’s partner Emma McCarthy responded to one of the photos with “So beautiful”, while Usman Khawaja’s wife Rachel also offered her congratulations.
Sports broadcaster Neroli Meadows commented: “Yesssssssss!! Love this!! Congrats guys!! xxx”.
England cricket star Alex Hartley said: “Congratulations”, while commenting on a photo of the bride: “You look absolutely stunning️ living for this wedding content.”
Details of their wedding including the venue were leaked online last month, but thankfully it appeared the big day went off without a hitch.
Maxwell revealed the details of the wedding had been leaked when an ex-Indian Premier League teammate got in touch to say he’d received several copies of the invite printed in the Tamil language.
Maxwell is already a superstar in India thanks to his IPL heroics but the fact he was marrying an Indian woman has created huge excitement among the Tamil community.
The wedding invite was shared on social media by Indian actor Kasturi Shankar and Maxwell admitted their big day would be a little more stressful now the Tamil-speaking world knew times and venue details in Melbourne.
“I had a bit of a worrying day the other day,” Maxwell said at the time.
“I got sent a photo from one of my former IPL teammates who I hadn’t seen in a couple of years and he had been sent the Tamil wedding invite by a numerous amount of people.
“So unfortunately that was making the rounds online. I think we’re going to have to increase security at our Hindu wedding.
“Check online. It’s everywhere. Look up Maxwell wedding, it’ll be somewhere.”
Maxwell explained the wedding would be a week-long affair.
“There’s three events during the week including two the week before,” he said.
“It’s a bit of a festival for my wedding this year.”
Settling on a date for the wedding was a headache for Maxwell, who thought he had found a gap in his jam-packed cricketing schedule.
Australia’s historic tour of Pakistan was then announced, but Maxwell decided to keep the date for the wedding and missed the tour so he could tie the knot.
