AUSTRALIA’S queen of the swimming pool has found her king.

Champion Cate Campbell this week took to social media to post a photo of her with partner Adam Kerr during a recent visit to a South Australian Barossa Valley winery.

It is understood the pair met through mutual friends and had spent some quality time together celebrating Cate’s achievements at this year’s Commonwealth Games.

Friends of the couple say they are happy for the pair.

“Good on you Cate! So happy u look so happy!” one friend wrote.

“Well deserved comeback queen,” wrote another.

“He is such a great guy! So happy for you,’’ another said.

Mr Kerr, a Brisbane-based engineer, also posted a photo to social media about their “cheeky day out in the Barossa to celebrate after the games”.

He even coined a cute hashtag for the couple – #campkerr.

He also posted pictures poolside at the Commonwealth Games, saying he was ‘so proud to be here supporting Cate’.

The happy news follows Cate’s triumphs at the Gold Coast Games, where she claimed four gold medals and one silver. She is currently taking a well-earned holiday.
