War Machine attack on Christy Mack: police report reveals new details
IT HAS emerged that a Taser was used in the arrest of War Machine as a police report reveals the full extent of his alleged attack on a porn star.
WHEN War Machine was captured last week over the alleged assault of his porn star girlfriend Christy Mack, police claimed the arrest was made “without incident”.
But, on the same day a police report was released detailing gruesome new details the Las Vegas attack, it has emerged a Taser was used to subdue the MMA fighter.
According to a KTLA News report, War Machine — born Jonathan Koppenhaver — may have even been wielding a gun when he was tracked down by police at the Extended Stay America Hotel in Simi Valley, California.
A hotel guest who witnessed the arrest told KTLA that officers used a Taser on War Machine, adding: “And they were like banging on the door, trying to get it open, and they’re like, ‘Open the door, open the door’,” Nicolle Blankenship said.
“Finally when they got it open they yelled, ‘Gun,’ and then all of a sudden you see them shoot him with a Taser. And he got shot with a Taser and he went down to the floor, and then they handcuffed him.”
Las Vegas police released new documents overnight that backed up Mack’s initial claims, while adding disturbing new details.
The documents claim:
* War Machine, 32, had been dating Mack for 15 months when he walked in on her in bed with another man, Corey Thomas, who claims he had also been dating Mack for two to three months.
* War Machine then slapped Mack and began beating up Thomas while he was in the bed, punching him in the face.
* Mack dialled 911 and hid the phone from War Machine, who then performed a “rear naked choke hold” on Thomas.
* War Machine eventually released Thomas from the choke hold and told him to leave, threatening to kill him if he reported the incident and War Machine went to jail.
* After Thomas left, War Machine began hitting Mack.
* War Machine forced Mack to take her clothes off and take a shower, while he continued to yell at her.
* Mack’s next recollection was being naked on the bathroom floor, while War Machine continued to hit her in the face and kick her left leg while she lay in the fetal position.
* Mack also remembered being kicked in the ribs while on “all fours” on the floor.
* War Machine is then claimed to have gone through Mack’s Instagram and Twitter accounts and every time he found something he did not like he would hit her in the face.
Among the other details, which can be read in full here, were claims War Machine held a knife to her head and also told her he would rape her but could not get aroused.
UFC MOVES TO DISTANCE ITSELF FROM WAR MACHINE
Meanwhile, Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White said he does not understand why War Machine has been associated with his organisation.
War Machine fought just two times under the UFC brand, according to White.
“It’s horrible, man. Horrible,” White said, according to the Washington Post.
“And every time I’ve got to see, ‘Ex-UFC fighter’ when the stories are written.
“He fought twice [in the UFC], six years ago. He’s a current Bellator-Viacom fighter. I had my staff calling these reporters, [who] are like, ‘We don’t know what Bellator is,’ and I said, ‘Ever heard of Viacom? That’s who he fights for. He fights for Viacom. Not the UFC.’”
The welterweight fighter made his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut in 2007.
He lost his only pay-per-view bout in 2008 and went on to fight for a variety of promotions over the past five years.
His criminal record includes a 2012 conviction for attempt to commit battery with substantial bodily harm.
War Machine faces charges from Clark County prosecutors of assault with a deadly weapon, coercion, open or gross lewdness, and four different counts of battery.
He was being held in Ventura County’s main jail without bond.
