Wow. Australian boxing has been treated to an absolutely thunderous knockout in one of the wildest heavyweight fights you will see.

Brandon Grach blew the roof off the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on the undercard of the Aussie title fight between Nikita Tszyu and Dylan Biggs.

In just his second professional fight after taking a break from boxing, Grach handed Liam Talivaa his first loss in scintillating fashion.

The two fighters came to play, swinging from the fences from the opening bell. Both Grach and Talivaa were knocked down in a wild first round.

In the space of just 30 seconds, Grach was sent to the canvas only to get to his feet and knock Talivaa down as the pair traded a flurry of blows.

After landing a right hand, Grach finished the job just five seconds into the second round with a massive left hook.

Ben Damon said in commentary on Main Event: “In the same fight, we’ve seen the round of the year and the knockout of the year in Australian boxing.”

“That is a monster shot. There’s plenty of concern in the ring because he was absolutely demolished by Brandon Grach, ‘The Bull’.

“Oh my goodness. Brandon Grach has arrived on the heavyweight scene. This is a man in just his second professional fight who disappeared for years, but he’s returned with a bang.

“That’s a shot from a bull that would have knocked out a bull. Just a massive monstrous knockout that you will see time and time again.”

Damon described the knockout as “sickening stuff”, while former world champion Shawn Porter summed it up, exclaiming: “Oh s**t.”

Earlier, Mark Schleibs had a contender for knockout of the year in his win over Shamal Ram, but Brach’s left hook is undoubtedly one of the heaviest punches we’ve seen.
