MMA fighter goes viral after in ring proposal is brutally rejected

An MMA fighter has gone viral for all the wrong reasons after his proposal to his girlfriend went as bad as you could possibly imagine.

MMA fighter loses then has proposal rejected

An MMA fighter has endured one of the most painful nights inside the cage you’re ever likely to see.

Czech Republic fighter Lukas Bukovaz teamed up with Patrik Horvath for a two-on-one bout against Jan Michalek on the Clash of the Stars card.

Michalek got the better of his two opponents, but losing a two-on-one fight wasn’t even close to the biggest loss Bukovaz took on the night.

Despite the defeat, the Czech fighter decided the time was right to drop down onto one knee and propose to his girlfriend while still inside the cage.

Almost instantly the signs weren’t looking great as Bukovaz’s partner recoiled and turned away with a look of shock and disbelief as to what was unfolding.

They say the longest pause you will experience in your life is the one that follows after asking the question, will you marry me.

For Bukovaz it must have felt like an eternity … and then down came the hammer.

After he asked the question there was a brief pause before his partner finally responded: “Based on everything that’s happened, I think probably not … I don’t think so.”

Almost instantly the crowd in attendance burst out into a chorus of boos as Bukovaz’s trainer appeared in the background of the now viral moment and tossed water at her.

She held her hand up to the outraged crowd as she went on to explain that she had said no because Bukovaz had cheated on her.

The Czech fighter walked out of the cage with two losses under his belt before he spoke out about the cheating accusation in a post on social media.

“I didn’t cheat on her,” Bukovaz said in a backstage interview afterwards, which he posted to his Instagram.

Videos of the incident spread across the internet like wildfire with social media users left feeling sorry for Bukovaz.

One user wrote: “Talk about taking the double L. Sorry for the guy.”

A second added: “2 L’s back to back has to be a crime.”

A third wrote: “Taking two L’s in one night is insane.”

Other users however questioned why you’d drop down on one knee after losing a fight.

Anthony Russo wrote: Why would you propose after a loss?”

Former UFC fighter Jake Shields wrote: “A man gets beat up in front of his girlfriend and then proposes. This is the worst possible time he could have asked.”
