Fighting on the undercard of the Brock Jarvis and Marlon Paniamogan card, Abu Dhabi-born Aussie Kayne Clarke has threatened to steal the show.

The 35-year-old moved to 14-0 with his 10th career knockout, KO'ing the now 8-6-1 Hunter Ioane.

The records told the story as Clarke took control of the fight from the outset.

Clarke dropped his opponent early and it was largely one-way traffic as he would enter for the punch and then use his footwork to keep distance.

But the finish was absolutely brutal as Clarke landed one huge left which left Ioane sprawled on the canvas in the fourth round.

“That’s a huge shot and he clattered to the canvas,” Ben Damon said on Fox Sports.

“Hunter Ioane in all sorts, a sickening noise, and Kayne Clarke can celebrate.

“A magnificent victory for Kayne Clarke but our concern immediately turns to Hunter Ioane, who is trying to get up but he took a massive shot and then he absolutely thudded into the canvas.”

It was a brilliant and brutal finish and after watching a replay, Damon reiterated: “That noise is sickening”.

Commentator Barry Michael was equally stunned by the finish.

“That was a sudden finish, what a beautiful left hand,” Michael said.

“Great refereeing from (referee) John Cauchi, stopped the fight straight away, knew the fight was over. No point continuing there.”

Ioane did eventually get helped to his feet but went straight to the changerooms.

Michael Zerafa, who was also on commentary, said he saw the finish coming.

“That shot was always going to land,” he said. “Hunter kept walking down with his hands too low and Kayne found that hole and landed it right on the button.”

It cames after a split decision in the opening fight of the night as Jason Fawcett kept his undefeated record with a 59-55, 58-56, 57-all decision over Isaias Sette, who was on his debut.

It’s all leading towards Brock Jarvis’ comeback fight after he was knocked out in the first round against Liam Paro in his last fight.
