Arabella Del Busso responds after being cut loose from boxing card
Arabella Del Busso, the ex-girlfriend of NRL star Josh Reynolds, has reacted after having the rug pulled out from her boxing debut.
Arabella Del Busso has responded after being dropped from Wednesday’s boxing event being headlined by a fight between rugby league stars Paul Gallen and Darcy Lussick.
Del Busso — the ex-girlfriend of former NSW five-eighth Josh Reynolds — was scheduled to fight Englishwoman Kate McLaren on the undercard in Sydney but their bout has been pulled.

On Friday The Daily Telegraph reported promoters No Limit had taken Del Busso off the card because of the backlash to her inclusion.
Accusations of fake pregnancies and violence brought Del Busso’s relationship with Reynolds into the limelight. Reynolds was accused of assaulting Del Busso, whose real name is Donna Preusker, but those charges were dropped in February 2020.
Del Busso denied suggestions her past had anything to do with her fight against McLaren being wiped, saying instead it was because of weight issues.
“Firstly weight was a problem, having the fight at 65 kilos wasn’t possible, myself being 57.8 kilos and Kate being 64 kilos. Boxing Australia wouldn’t have accepted the weight difference,” Del Busso told the Daily Mail.
“My team (Team Ellis) have my health and well-being at heart, which I am very grateful for, and decided it wasn’t possible to take the opportunity for the fight for those reasons.”
Del Busso appeared on reality TV show SAS Australia last year, where she was interrogated over her alleged lies — which included faking being pregnant while she was with Reynolds.
“I have told a lie but the way that I see it, is not going to hurt anyone. I’m sure we all do it. I’m honestly not the only person here or there,” Del Busso said at the time.
Gallen, the former NSW Origin skipper who takes on Lussick on Wednesday night after his original opponent, Manly forward Josh Aloiai, withdrew after testing positive to Covid-19, made his feelings about Del Busso known last month.
“I know Josh (Reynolds) really well and what happened there was disgraceful,” Gallen told WWOS radio.
“I have no control over who’s on the undercard to be honest. I wouldn’t not fight because of that reason, but no, I wouldn’t support it.
“I wouldn’t support that particular person, not my cup of tea at all.
“Josh is a great guy, always been to me, and I felt terribly sorry for what happened there.
“But I have no control over who fights on the undercard.”
