Sydney Kings’ Xavier Cooks throws down ‘nastiest dunk ever seen’

An NBL star has sent social media into meltdown after throwing down a poster dunk that will be hard to beat as the dunk of the year.

Xavier Cooks, my good lord.

The Sydney Kings star melted minds across the basketball world when he threw down an insane poster dunk on Sunday afternoon.

During the second quarter, the Kings launched into a fast break with Cooks running open and getting the pass at the three point line.

Cooks collected the pass and after a quick step, launched towards the rim and collected the body of Melbourne United big man Isaac Humphries as he threw down the poster dunk on his head.

The insane dunk had basketball fans losing their minds with many labelling it the nastiest dunk they’d seen.

“Xavier Cooks just threw down one of the nastiest dunks I’ve ever seen on Isaac Humphries and then splashed a three on the next trip down. What a player,” The Herald Sun’s Michael Randall tweeted.

The moment of insanity was the cherry on top of the cake for the Kings who obliterated United 91-71 in what was a one-sided contest from the early going.

Cooks finished the drubbing with 23 points on 9/15 shooting to go along with nine rebounds he pulled down.

Jordan Caroline and Lachlan Baker led the way for United with 10 points in what was a dreadful outing for the home team.
