NBA pre-season: Andrew Bogut helps blow Denver Nuggets away in Golden State’s final pre-season game
ANDREW Bogut and Dante Exum had mixed fortunes in their final pre-season NBA hitouts, with Bogut back to his best but Exum struggling.
ANDREW Bogut and Dante Exum had mixed fortunes in their final pre-season NBA hit-outs, with Bogut back to his best but Exum spending most of the game on the bench.
Bogut netted 12 points and racked up eight rebounds, eight assists, a steal and a block in Golden State’s 119-112 victory over Denver.
The Aussie big man, returning to the league after an injury-plagued campaign last season, shot a perfect six from six, while teammate Klay Thompson poured in 35 points to help put the Nuggets away.
Exum, however, received limited opportunities as the Utah Jazz went down 105-100 against Phoenix.
The Australian teen, who was picked at No. 5 in the NBA Draft, managed less than 10 minutes of court time, scored only two points and turned the ball over three times in a performance he’d probably prefer to forget ahead of the team’s season-opener against Houston on Thursday (12pm AEDT).
