IT’S official. Saturday’s WNBL match between the MAC Adelaide Lightning and Uni of Canberra Capitals has been relocated to Adelaide Arena.

Originally scheduled for “The Lighthouse” at Wayville, the match formally was moved by Basketball SA today, in conjunction with the league and its administrating body, Basketball Australia.

Unlike the Arena, Wayville Sports Centre at the showgrounds is not airconditioned and with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a 42-degree high, the move became inevitable.

Adelaide’s match with Dandenong earlier this month similarly was relocated to Adelaide Arena for the same reason - player and spectator safety and comfort.

The match will tip off at 7.30pm, as scheduled.
