Former NBA star Stephon Marbury now has his own museum in China
STEPHON Marbury is so revered in China, that he now has now been immortalised with his own museum, and it looks amazing.
STEPHON Marbury has been in our collective NBA consciousness for so long that it’s easy to forget he’s still just 38 years old, having played his final NBA season in 2009. Now, Marbury is a constant star in China, the biggest name in their league, and apparently deserving of some major accolades.
He’s won the MVP in the CBA, and he has multiple titles, too. But apparently titles aren’t enough to properly honor this hoops-playing star. Now, Marbury has his own museum.
From ESPN.com: ‘Stephon Marbury is so big in China that he’s been immortalized with his own statue and postage stamp. Now a museum dedicated to the former NBA star is set to open next week’.
‘Marbury attended the grand opening for the 300-square foot museum in Beijing on Monday. It is scheduled to open to the public next Monday.’
Holy smokes. Take a look at this:

Marbury was as talented as they come during his NBA career, bouncing around between the Timberwolves, Suns, Knicks, Nets and Celtics. Unfortunately, he could never carry a winner, but he did make it onto a couple of All-Star teams. Even after trailing off later in his carer, he averaged 19.3 points and 7.6 assists a game during 13 NBA seasons.
