FOUR daring adults have been charged after they were caught base jumping off a crane in Brisbane’s CBD.
FOUR daring adults were last night charged by police after they were caught BASE jumping off a crane in Brisbane’s CBD.
CCTV cameras caught the moment three men and one woman parachuted off a crane at the Abian building site on the corner of Albert and Alice streets at 9.50pm.
The group landed in the Botanical Gardens and fled over the Goodwill Bridge. They were intercepted by police in Lower River Terrace soon after.
A 24-year-old woman, a 29-year-old Bli Bli man, a 33-year-old Bli Bli man and a 31-year-old Deagon man will appear in court on August 10 after being charged with unregulated, high-risk activity.
Police are also looking into possible trespassing charges.
No one was injured in the incident.
BASE jumping — which stands for building, antenna, span and earth — is an extreme sport that sees thrillseekers jump off fixed objects.
