Tensions boiled over after the New England Patriots kneeled the ball late in the fourth quarter while clinging to a four-point lead. Several Seattle players, Irvin included, shoved through the line.
Words were exchanged, then punches.
The Patriots survived the fight and the frantic final minutes to emerge 28-24 winners and secure quarterback Tom Brady his fourth Super Bowl win.
