He may be an NFL rookie but everything DK Metcalf does seems to go viral.

The six foot three, 230 pound (104kg) man mountain came to the world’s notice by shaming all those standing in his vicinity with an outrageously ripped physique.

Picked up in the first round of the draft by the Seattle Seahawks, the man who looks more like the Hulk than a person in real life is hoping to burst onto the NFL scene in 2019-2020.

He burst onto the scene with a group shot of him standing next to other footballers and making them look tiny.

He then ran a 4.33 second 40-yard dash in the Draft Combine and although as a wide receiver, he has been criticised for his early progress, the man is a scary prospect for anyone.

His impressive arrival seems to overshadow his teammates — sometimes literally.

Just ask Seahawks’ four-year wide receiver Tyler Lockett.

Social media went nuts when Metcalf was pictured next to Lockett at training.

Now Lockett is not that much shorter than Metcalf at five foot eleven but he’s about 60 pounds lighter but this makes him look like a toddler compared to the 21-year-old rookie.

In proof that it’s not always worth dwelling on the looks and it’s more about what it feels like, Lockett delivered the perfect response.

The pair are reportedly pretty tight with Lockett taking Metcalf through extra footwork drills before practice to try and get the hulking rookie up to speed.

“Me and Tyler do footwork drills before practice. He teaches me stuff Doug (Baldwin) taught him,” he said. “It’s just great that he doesn’t even have to do that, it just speaks a lot about his character.”

Seems like it might be better to keep his giant teammate on his side.

Metcalf’s physique made a splash with the Seahawks with a hilarious first encounter with coach Pete Carroll at the Combine.

BRADY TAKES TWO MORE YEARS

Six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with the New England Patriots, according to multiple US media reports on Sunday.

A day after his 42nd birthday, Brady - who will begin his 20th NFL campaign next month - has a deal that will boost his 2019 salary from $15 million to $23 million, the NFL Network and ESPN reported, citing unnamed sources.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback has won the most Super Bowl titles of any player in the league’s history, as well as four Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and three NFL MVP awards.

Brady would have been entering the last year on an existing two-year deal next month. Instead, he’s under contract through the 2021 season, when he will be age 44.

Brady has talked of playing until age 45 and the new deal could make that a possibility.

Even with the pay boost, Brady is set to have only the sixth-highest salary among quarterbacks this season.

In February, Brady led the Patriots over the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl 53 for their third NFL crown in five seasons.

Brady has career totals of 6,004 completions on 9,375 pass attempts for 70,514 yards and 517 touchdowns with 171 interceptions.

He has also rushed for 1,003 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Brady, who has started every game for the Patriots in nine of the past 10 seasons, threw for 4,355 yards and 29 touchdowns last season.

Pretty sure the Patriots will have him back until he looks like this.
