Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery on Wednesday, stemming from an alleged incident at a Kansas City restaurant in February, according to TMZ.

According to court records, Jackson was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery, and an additional count of misdemeanour battery.

Jackson — a 22-year-old social media influencer, who garnered popularity on TikTok — is accused of sexually and physically assaulting the owner of the Aspens Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park on February 25, with the 40-year-old woman alleging he tried to forcibly kiss her multiple times.

The incident was caught on surveillance video, the outlet reported, and has been under police investigation since March.

The surveillance footage, which has since been shared on social media, is grainy and shows a man and a woman standing near a desk — before he grabbed her by the face and kissed her.

The woman, who was dressed in a pink top and skirt, can be seen in the video sipping a drink before the male grabbed her multiple times near the throat, nearly knocking her backwards off her feet.

At one point the woman appeared to wipe her mouth and face before the man grabbed her again.

The owner also alleged Jackson shoved a male waiter on her staff, and that the social media star seemed intoxicated earlier in the night.

“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere,” the owner told the outlet at the time, calling the alleged advances unwelcome and shocking.

At the time, Jackson’s lawyer, Brandan Davies, said his client committed no wrongdoing.

“Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser including the statements of several witnesses,” Davies said after the incident was first reported.

“We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation so that they may have a complete picture of the matter.”

Jackson is scheduled to be arraigned at 1.30pm on Friday, according to the Kansas City Star — which was first to report the assault accusations in March.

Jackson was booked into the Johnson County Detention Center around 7.45am, and his bond was set at $100,000.

Jackson was first accused of assault by the restaurant owner and a waiter in a report by The Kansas City Star in March.

Two weeks prior to the alleged incident, Jackson attended the Super Bowl with his family in Glendale, Arizona, where his brother led the Chiefs to a 38-35 win over the Eagles on February 12, 2023.

It’s far from the first controversy for the NFL superstar’s brother.

Jackson appeared to take a social media hiatus for several weeks after the accusations were made public.

He returned to social media recently, and gushed over Mahomes and his wife Brittany Matthews at the Met Gala on Monday.

Last month, Matthews defended Jackson during an Instagram Q&A, when one person asked: “How do you feel about the comments about your BIL?”

Matthews responded with: “They are ignorant. He is a human just trying to live his life and find his way and until you walk a day in his shoes (which no one ever will) you have no right to say s – t about him. So it’s best to just shut up.”

The person did not go into details about specific comments concerning Jackson.

Jackson previously was linked to a number of other controversies during which he’s attracted attention for his TikTok videos, dancing on the sidelines and engaging in altercations with fans.

In September 2021, Mahomes faced backlash after he poured water on Ravens fans for taunting him.

The next month, he sparked outrage when he filmed a TikTok video dancing on a logo where the then-Washington Football Team honoured the late Sean Taylor on the field at FedExField.
