AN NFL star might receive a ‘please explain’ from a US court after live tweeting during jury duty, and then ordering a pizza.

Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett was called up for duty at a US court and documented the experience in a series of increasingly amusing tweets from inside the courtroom.

At one point the three-time Pro Bowl star said he’d ordered a pizza to be delivered to the courtroom, and claimed he had parked his $450,000 car in a handicapped spot outside, with a handgun inside.

Dockett’s day started when he woke up and realised he had jury duty, a fact he seemed none too pleased about.

His tweeting continued throughout the morning, despite the court bringing in a guard, seemingly to keep him in line.

He even took a moment to offer legal advice, then offered his own judgment on the hairstyle of a man he came across in another courtroom.

But his best moment came when he apparently asked a court officer if he could grab a bite to eat.

Told he needed to wait, Dockett promptly used a phone app to order a pizza to the courtroom.

The court also might take issue with his selection of parking space and the contents of his car.
