NFL star Arian Foster’s unusual relationship with the media has continued.

The 28-year-old running back, in his sixth season with the Houston Texans, conducted his entire

interview with reporters in an English accent, apologising at one point for his unpractised

performance.

“Coming out a little Irish.” Foster joked. “I’m doing my best.”

And while his performance with reporters had them in hysterics for most of the interview, the origin of his accent wasn’t picked up by everyone. Foster corrected one reporter for thinking his accent was Australian, “I’m going for England here, bruh.”

While the running back recorded just one touchdown last season, Foster in just nine games this

season has crossed for seven touchdowns.

Foster’s dynamic form this season has drawn parallels to former Los Angeles Raiders running back Marcus Allen. When told of this Foster said, “I feel as though he is one of the great running backs and to even be mentioned alongside him is a very great compliment.”

While Foster seemed to enjoy his interview with reporters on Thursday, this isn’t the first time that he has made headlines for his unconventional interview performances.

Earlier in the year, Foster appeared in front of the media for the first time since the previous season, but didn’t let on very much.

Over a 90 second interview, Foster said a measly 11 times, “I’m just trying to be the best teammate I can.”
