NFL: Donald Trump’s son broken by America’s team the Dallas Cowboys

The battle for the last American sport without protests appears to have been lost — and it’s all too much for Donald Trump’s son, Eric.

America’s Team taking a knee during the national anthem means America’s Sport is officially dead to President Trump’s son Eric.

Eric Trump tweeted Tuesday that he was done with the NFL in a tweet responding to the Dallas Cowboys being given the “green light” — according to defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford — by owner Jerry Jones to peacefully protest prior to games this season.

“Football is officially dead — so much for ‘America’s sport’. Goodbye NFL … I’m gone,” Eric Trump tweeted.

Jones had been quiet on how the Cowboys would handle protesting racial injustice. But last weekend, he said he wants fans to respect what his players choose to do, a change in tone by the team’s owner.

“That’s the great thing about America: Everybody has a difference,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan. “If our players are there, they are sensitive to and respect what America is as it relates to the flag. I’ll assure you that. I’d hope that our fans — and I think they will — understand that our players have issues that they need help on. They need help from the majority of America.”
