TV star Maya Jama flashes $1.1 million diamond ring after Ben Simmons engagement
The fiance of Australian basketball star Ben Simmons has stepped out in Philadelphia wearing a diamond ring valued at $1.1 million.

On Monday, British TV presenter Maya Jama stepped out in Philadelphia while wearing a massive diamond ring on her finger, days after news of her engagement to Ben Simmons emerged.
In photos published by the Daily Mail, Jama, 27, is seen strolling beside Simmons, 25, while keeping warm in an oversized sweatshirt with black leggings and sneakers.

Although her black Louis Vuitton bag is an enviable accessory, her monster ring will likely catch anyone’s eye. In fact, the piece itself is said to have a value north of US$800,000 (AUD$1.1 million).
“This is a classic and elegant emerald cut diamond ring with trapezoid side stones on a white gold or platinum setting,” gemologist Alexandra Mitchell of Prestige Pawnbrokers told the Daily Mail, who estimates the main diamond to be around 10 carats.
“I would estimate this to retail for upwards of £600,000,” she continued.
Jama, who currently presents on the UK music competition series Walk the Line, reportedly got engaged to Simmons over the holidays.
“Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her. He picked up the ring on Jewelers’ Row in the diamond district of Philadelphia the day before he proposed,” a source previously told The Sun.
The Sixers guard, who has not played in the NBA this season citing mental health issues, was first linked to Jama in the spring of 2021. They later made an appearance at Wimbledon together that July.
Rumours of an engagement surfaced in late 2021, however, when Simmons’ tattoo artist had referred to the couple as engaged on Instagram, according to Awesemo.com. The post, however, has been deleted.
Prior to his relationship with Jama, Simmons dated model Kendall Jenner.
