The Last Dance meme of Michael Jordan jamming on bus goes viral
One moment from the final episode of Netflix documentary The Last Dance has fuelled the creation of another viral Michael Jordan meme.
The final two chapters of Netflix documentary series The Last Dance were released on Monday, and there were countless talking points for fans to ponder.
But aside from Michael Jordan’s shock admission he’d have considered signing with the Chicago Bulls for another year, one unsuspecting moment from Episode Ten quickly went viral.
A few hours before Game One of the 1998 NBA finals, Jordan was filmed jamming along to music at the back of the team bus. Donning sunglasses and a set of headphones, the basketball legend bops his head along with the R&B track “Days Like This”.
“What are you listening to?” someone queries.
“Kenny Lattimore,” Jordan replies with a smug smile.
“Brand new, not even out yet. He’s a friend of mine, you know.”

Lattimore himself had no idea Jordan used his music to get hyped ahead of career-defining games.
“In 1998 I sent Michael Jordan an advanced copy of my From the Soul of Man album. Who knew ‘Days Like This’ was his pre-game hype song though,” Lattimore tweeted on Monday.
Inevitably, the internet jumped on the opportunity to create another Michael Jordan meme, and the aptly named “Michael Jordan Jamming Out” Twitter page was born.
The Twitter profile shares the same clip of Jordan smiling and bopping from The Last Dance, but with an assortment of different music played over the top, and the results are hilarious.
Within two days of the profile’s creation, it boasts over 38,000 followers on Twitter.
A few personal favourites include Jordan jamming out to a bit of old-school Miley Cyrus.
