Tacko Fall overshadows Boston Celtics thrashing of Philadelphia 76ers
The sideshow around Boston Celtics’ giant Tacko Fall has continued with fans going nuts in the face of a 76ers thrashing.
The NBA crowds have once again spoken — “We want Tacko”.
The Boston Celtics’ 7-foot-5 rookie giant Tacko Fall’s cult status is continuing to rise after another all too brief cameo.
His Celtics thrashed Ben Simmons’ Philadelphia 76ers, racing out to a 13-point lead at the end of the first quarter and never relinquishing the side’s dominance.

The Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown, who was one of the unlucky players to miss out on All-Star selection, with the star hitting 32 points and nine rebounds as Boston blew out the 76ers with a 116-95 win in Boston.
“Ain’t no reason to cry over spilled milk,” Brown said of the All-Star snub. “Playoffs is on my mind. That’s the stage you want to be on. I think some people have got it backwards.”
His teammate Jayson Tatum – who was voted as a reserve in the All-Star Game in Chicago on Feb. 16 – scored nine of his 25 points in a 99-second span that gave Boston the lead for good.
Ben Simmons’ hot streak continued with 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists and a steal, but Philadelphia’s woes grew as All-Star giant Joel Embiid had a shocker with just 11 points, going one from 11 from the field and nine from nine from the free throw line.
While Embiid chose not to front the media after the horror display, Fall, who has played limited minutes throughout the season saw fans again going nuts for the Senegalese giant.
He is the equal sixth tallest player in NBA history and currently the biggest man in the NBA.
And the fans want Tacko.
Fans began screaming for the big man in the third quarter with Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens finally relenting with two and a half minutes remaining.
The crowd lost their collective minds.
Despite the impressive performance, arguably the biggest cheer of the night went up for Fall checking in.
When he scored the goal, it went to another level.

Tacko hitting a hook shot just sounded like a buzzer beating win in here.

if Tacko ever makes a 3 the Boston Garden is gonna go streaking in the streets like those zombies when they figure out where Will Smith lives.

Seeing the Garden get all excited when Tacko Fall gets off the bench is one of the best things Iâve seen in the NBA this year

Imagine how many eardrums would be destroyed if Tacko hit a 3.

While the Garden went Tacko crazy, it further showed up Embiid’s shocker.
His 1 from 11 was the second worst shooting performance of his NBA career, beaten only by his December performance against the Toronto Raptors where he didn’t make a shot.
Fans weren’t about to let that go by without comment either.
Sources say they were so afraid of him having to match up with Tacko they pulled him early before Tacko checked in https://t.co/uRCKTpvrBP

Itâs crazy how much better the Sixers are without Embiid - I wonder what team he will be on next season?

Anyone have the analytics on how often Joel Embiid is showing up in the internetâs top trade machines?

But Stevens proved an unlikely defender of Embiid, with the Boston coach tipping the Sixers star to come back with a vengeance.
“He’s not going to have that kind of night very often,” Stevens said. “He’s an unreal player, and obviously we have the utmost respect for him. … Probably more ‘one of those nights’ for him than anything we did.”
