Steph Curry breaks all-time NBA three-point shooting record
With another incredible display, Steph Curry has been officially recognised as the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA.
He’s changed the way basketball is played with his long-range bombs and now it’s official — Steph Curry is the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history.
During the Golden State Warriors’ dominant 119-93 win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday (AEDT), Curry passed shooting legend Ray Allen’s mark of 3,358 three-pointers to break the record for the most three-pointers made all-time — including shots made in the regular season and playoffs.

The star point guard achieved the feat in the second quarter of the clash with the Bulls and fittingly he went on a vintage shooting spree from beyond the arc to make his record-breaking night one to remember.
Curry hit nine three-pointers in the 26-point victory and made Chicago’s Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball look silly as they tried to defend his incredible ball handling and shooting prowess.
In a sign of just how dominant Curry’s three-pointing shooting has been, his performance against the Bulls was the 36th time he has scored nine or more threes in a game.
The next highest is James Harden, who has done it on nine occasions.
Allen scored 3,358 in 1,471 games but Curry made short work of the record, taking 585 fewer games — the equivalent of more than seven NBA seasons — to set a new standard.
Steph Curry is going to double Ray Allenâs record, isnât he? https://t.co/36pE7yIGmp

The 33-year-old is the early favourite to take out his third MVP award this season and produced another standout performance for the Warriors with 40 points, five assists and four rebounds against the Bulls.
The 26-point victory ensured Golden State remained on top of the Western Conference standings with the best win-loss record out in the NBA.
Fans were in disbelief Curry broke the three-point shooting record so quickly and managed to make the Warriors genuine contenders for NBA championship again after winning titles in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
“The Warriors are currently the best team in the NBA,” NBA host Roosh Williams tweeted.
“Steph Curry might be the most electric specialty role player of all time.”
Sportswriter Carl Steward added: “Even in a three-point league, Curry is so far, far above everybody else.”
“Steph Curry is a cheat code,” NRL star Ryan Papenhuyzen said.
Elsewhere, Aussie rookie Josh Giddey registered the most assists of any player in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s last-gasp 105-103 win over the Sacramento Kings.
Five of OKC’s 13 assists belonged to the former Adelaide 36er.
Giddey wasn’t at his influential best in the fourth quarter, but the Thunder still managed to come from behind at the death, with small forward Luguentz Dort scoring from a steal in the dying seconds to secure victory.
The LA Lakers’ underwhelming start to the season continued on Saturday when they slumped to 107-83 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Lakers were without superstar LeBron James, who is still sidelined with an abdominal strain.
