LeBron James FaceTime’s his mum after securing fourth NBA title

LeBron James had just etched his name into NBA folklore when he snuck away from his teammates to make one important phone call.

LeBron James is showing it’s perfectly acceptable to be a mumma’s boy.

The NBA megastar had just etched his name into the record books by becoming the first player in league history to win three championships and three finals MVP’s with three different teams.

But after leading the Los Angeles Lakers over the Miami Heat in an epic six games of the NBA Finals, James escaped the mayhem of the locker room celebrations and found a quiet place to make an all important phone call.

Laying on the carpet, James FaceTimed his mum, Gloria, and thanked her for everything she had done for him.

“Hey mumma, I had to leave the locker room they’re going crazy in there right now I had to get away,” James said.

“I just got done on the phone with the wife and the kids and now I’m calling you.

“I love you, you’re the reason that … you are the reason that I’m even able to do this mumma.

“You don’t understand, 16 years old and bringing this big ass head boy into the world. Everything that you had been through, everything that I’ve seen, there’s nothing that can stop me. I ain’t sh*t without you. What I go through is nothing compared to what you went through.

“God is good, God is great. I hope I can make you proud mum.”

James wasn’t the only Lakers player to make a heartfelt FaceTime call during the championship celebrations with Anthony Davis calling former teammate DeMarcus Cousins.

But it was James’ moment with Gloria that lit up social media, with “The King” offering a special shout out to Steve Jobs in his post-game press conference.

As he smoked a cigar in between questions, James stopped to shower former Apple boss Steve Jobs with praise.

James finished with 28 points, 14 boards and 10 assists. He was well supported by Anthony Davis (19 points and 15 rebounds), Rondo (19 points) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (17 points).

James’ triple-double was the 28th of his career in the playoffs — leaving him just two short of Magic Johnson’s record 30 post-season triple-doubles.
