Joe Ingles nails four three-pointers in three minutes as Jazz down Bucks
While Ben Simmons gets a lot of the attention, Joe Ingles has given a reminder that the Boomers squad will be brimming with talent.
Joe Ingles has left the NBA stunned after he got the Utah Jazz off to the perfect start in the side’s 129-115 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Ingles, who shattered the Jazz’s three-point record when he brought up his 846th in 493 games, has quickly moved on, showing his three-point radar is still as sharp as ever.

As the game against the Bucks tipped off, Bojan Bogdanovic missed a shot as the teams traded misses.
But the ball made its way to the Aussie to drain three straight triples before setting up Rudy Gobert with a filthy bounce pass for a huge dunk.
The Jazz weren’t done finding Ingles though with the Aussie hitting a four three-pointers to cap off a crazy three-minutes of action.
He was then subbed out for Derrick Favors a minute later, but it didn’t stop the Aussie as he equalled his career highs in the game.
In just under 30 minutes on the floor, he finished with 27 points, three rebounds and five assists, leading the Jazz alongside Gobert’s 27 points.
Ingles hit a career-high seven three pointers, shooting seven from nine and eight from 11 on the floor.
Donovan Mitchell also had 26 points while Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 25.
It has led the Jazz to a franchise best 21-5 start to the year and Jazz coach Quin Snyder was liking the way the team was playing.
“When we’re playing the right way, no one cares who scores and no one knows who’s going to score on given possession if we’re playing the way we want to play,” he said.
“Nobody is beating their chest about anything we’ve done. Frankly, you never want to do that and it’s never appropriate unless you’re the last team standing.”
Post-match, Ingles was in a joking mood as he equalled his career-high tally of 27 points for the sixth time.
When UtahJazz.com reporter Aaron Falk asked “Why do you refuse to break your career high?” Ingles replied in a typically Aussie manner.
“I knew as soon as your silly name came up that you were gonna ask that,” he said.
“I don’t go out there and try to break it. I’ve never gone into a game: ‘Tonight’s the night I’m going to break it.’ Obviously, Donovan finally let me get a couple shots early tonight, which he usually doesn’t because he’s so selfish.”
Mitchell was stunned by Ingles’ early eruption and said he was happy to see what the Aussie could do.
“I don’t know if you could see it or not, but there were times when Joe’s hitting 3s and I’m just turning to the bench like, ‘Wow!’ You know what I mean?” Mitchell said.
Gobert was more straightforward in his responses later on when he heaped praise on Ingles.
“Joe is always making players better even when he doesn’t make shots,” Gobert said.
“So when he makes shots it’s even better so it’s great. Great game for Joe, and it’s a very good team and we’re glad to get the win so big win for us.”
Social media was equally positive about Ingles feat.
Joe Ingles sure gets his shot up mightily quick for a guy whose nickname is âSlow-Moâ. https://t.co/hwpxOtGN4S
