According to Blatt, Cleveland will win 2016 NBA title with ‘prophet’ Lebron
CLEVELAND Cavaliers coach David Blatt has gone spiritual, making some extraordinary predictions about next season for the Cavs and Lebron James.
FALLING just short of the 2015 NBA title after being beaten by the Golden State Warriors in a tightly contested Finals series, Cleveland coach David Blatt is still full of confidence that his side will take the cake next season.
Talking at a business conference in Israel, Blatt made some pretty bold statements about his star forward Lebron James.
In an attempt to highlight James’ importance to the Cleveland campaign, Blatt likened the NBA All-Star to Moses — that’s right, the biblical prophet.

While Lebron may very well be one of the best players in NBA history, comparing him to a man that allegedly walked for forty years in the desert and parted an entire body of water may be a little extreme.
Despite his best efforts, Lebron wasn’t able to part the sea that was the Warrior’s defence in the last two games of this year’s Finals series — not even the ‘prophet’ could secure the title for the Cavs.
Let’s hope for the Cavalier’s sake that it doesn’t take this ‘modern-day Moses’ as long to lead Cleveland to the title as it did for the historical figure to liberate his countrymen.
Wonder if David Blatt realizes how long Moses had to spend wandering in the desert. Not like he had a fighter pilot to speed up the process.

Blatt is forever confident that his superstar will be key in Cleveland’s 2016 charge to the title, even guaranteeing fans a championship win for his Eastern Conference side.

Had things gone differently for Blatt’s side with injuries during the back end of the season, a star-studded lineup may very well have seen them take out the Championship.
And with the likes of Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson and Kyrie Irving all back next season, Cleveland will have a collection of subjects to support the almighty prophet Lebron.
With a divine roster like that, Blatt might just be accurate in his predictions.
