LEBRON James raved about Shabazz Napier before leaving for the Cleveland Cavaliers. This insane display of skill has shown exactly why.

Napier, taken at No.24 in the draft by Charlotte but then traded to the Miami Heat, put on an incredible crossover in yesterday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Shabazz Napier of the Miami Heat put a wicked crossover on Deron Williams.

The move was so fast, it made a pair of top-notch veterans in Deron Williams and Kevin Garnett look a little foolish as they tried to follow the lightning handle and pass to Chris Andersen.

The move came in a 95-83 for Miami. Napier had 11 points and three assists in the game.

Napier was set on playing with LeBron at the Heat after King James sent a number of tweets lauding his talent ahead of the draft, with one declaring the point guard his favourite player in the class. The rookie caused a stir by apparently unfollowing LeBron on Twitter after his decision to move to the Cavs, though Napier denied any deliberate snub.

Napier, 23, is averaging 5.2 points per game, 2.8 rebounds pg and 2.4 assists pg in his rookie season.

Shabazz Napier was declared LeBron James’ favourite player of the 2014 draft.
