NBA: LA Lakers players, and Twitter, have a message for Charles Barkley #ChuckCanEat

LAST week NBA legend Charles Barkley said that he would not eat until the Lakers won a game this season — well it’s time for humble pie big man.

LAST week the always outspoken NBA legend Charles Barkley said that he would not eat until the Lakers won a game this season — well it’s time for humble pie big man.

Barkley initially joked that he would not eat at all, but amended his hunger strike to indicate that he would include water and vodka in his diet, in order to maintain some level of carbohydrate intake (and presumably also as a pain-numbing agent).

At the time the Lakers were 0-5 and it looked like the ‘round mound of rebound’ could become a mere shadow of his hefty self if they failed to lift.

Thankfully for Barkley the Lakers finally picked up its first victory of the season Sunday night (US time), beating Charlottle, 107-92 and Los Angelese forward Ed Davis made sure to let Barkley know his hunger strike was officially over.
