Kobe Bryant produces most ludicrous excuse yet for being a ball hog

THE look on superfan Jack Nicholson’s face pretty much sums it up for Lakers fans, but Kobe Bryant assures you it is not Kobe Bryant’s fault.

THE look on superfan Jack Nicholson’s face Sunday night at Staples Center pretty much sums it up as the Lakers fell to 1-9 with a defence-less 136-115 loss to the Golden State Warriors.

But Jack can rest easy knowing that LA superstar Kobe Bryant is giving his all. Getting no help from his teammates, the 36-year-old Bryant scored an utterly futile 44 points on 15-of-34 shooting in just 31 minutes.

“Obviously I’d rather get guys involved early, but if a purse gets stolen in front of you, how many blocks are you going to let the guy run?” Bryant constructed as a metaphor, according to ESPN LA.

“You going to chase him down and keep him in sight yourself or just wait for the authorities to get there, or decide to let him run and wait for the authorities to get there? It’s a tough thing.”

And what do Kobe’s teammates think of the analogy?
