High school gridiron player’s incredible catch goes viral
VIDEO of an unbelievable catch by a high school gridiron player has taken over the internet. And it’s not hard to see what all the fuss is about.
HE’S only 16 years old but a video of a high-schooler’s unbelievable gridiron catch has grabbed everybody’s attention.
The teenager can be seen running into the end-zone before planting his feet and springing into a backflip.
As the ball comes into the picture, the high-schooler makes a one-handed grab while halfway through the rotation before landing calmly on his feet.
Video of the catch appeared online a couple days ago and quickly went viral with many trying to figure out the identity of the star.
It turns out his name is Marco Wilson and he is 1.77m (5ft 10in) future superstar.
He attends Fort Lauderdale High School in Florida where he plays cornerback for the school’s team.
Cornerback is a defensive position that requires the player to hang in the back field and look to contain receivers on the offensive team, and ideally intercept the ball. By the looks of the video, it’s a position he was made for.
His impressive skills also happen to run in the family as his brother is the current Florida Gators cornerback, Quincy Wilson.
The 16-year-old won’t graduate until 2017 but he has reportedly begun being inundated with offers from universities keen for his services.
And a video like this surely won’t hurt.
