The son of the best basketball player in the world recently took part in an annual primary school tournament, where he was the star player in the Gulf Coast Blue Chips team that took out the fourth-grade title.

Judging by the footage of his team’s games, the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree.

James Jr is on another planet to the kids on the opposition teams, displaying ball control that would terrorise kids twice his age.

Most impressively, James Jr appears to have inherited his dad’s ability to bring his teammates into the game, regularly driving into the lane and then distributing the ball to someone else in a better position.
