DID Aqib Talib pull a Plaxico Burress?

A bullet entered and exited the cornerback’s lower leg during a shooting in the aftermath of a fight at a Dallas strip club early Sunday. Two other men were shot at the club. The Broncos are looking into whether Talib shot himself by accident, according to Pro Football Talk.

However, adding to the confusion, Talib told Dallas police he was at a park when he was shot.

“Everything was a blur and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened,” he said, according to WFAA, the ABC affiliate in Dallas.

Talib didn’t need surgery and is expected to be OK, according to ESPN. But he will miss the team’s trip to the White House, where the Broncos will be honoured for winning Super Bowl 50.

Burress accidentally shot himself in the right thigh on Nov. 28, 2008, while at a New York City nightclub. He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and a single count of reckless endangerment in the second degree, and he served 20 months in prison after accepting a plea deal.

Talib has been in trouble before. On Aug. 20, 2009, he allegedly attacked a taxi driver and was charged with resisting arrest without violence and simple battery. And in March 2011, he was charged with aggravated assault in Garland, Texas, for allegedly firing a gun at his sister’s boyfriend, but the charges were dropped.
