PORT Adelaide's urgent need for inside midfielders may be answered by Gold Coast novice Hayden Jolly quitting the Suns.

Jolly, 20, has declared he is out of the Gold Coast project and wants a return to SA.

The former Glenelg junior did not play an AFL game this season after six in the Suns' inaugural season.

Jolly offers immediate appeal to the Power which is to be a major player in the trade market next month.

He also could factor in any trade that takes out-of-contract Crows key forward Kurt Tippett back to Queensland should he seek a go-home trade.
