Scans this week revealed the early stages of a stress fracture forcing Golby out of Saturday's clash with Sydney at the SCG.

Ash McGrath (hamstring) and Jared Polec (foot) are the other omissions from the in-form Lions side that thrashed Melbourne last Sunday.

Brisbane has recalled Cheynee Stiller, Patrick Karnezis and Jack Crisp for the trip to the Harbour City.

Stiller will finally play his 100th senior match after being stuck on 99 career games for most of the 2012 season.

Meanwhile, the Gold Coast has recalled the star trio of Michael Rischitelli, Campbell Brown and Jarrod Harbrow from injury for Sunday's showdown with reigning premiers Geelong at Metricon Stadium.

The Suns have made four changes to the side humbled by West Coast last Saturday.

Jeremy Taylor (omitted), Taylor Hine (omitted), Alex Sexton (hip) and Steven May (hamstring) have made way for Harbrow, Rischitelli, Brown, Aaron Hall, Maverick Weller, Dion Prestia and Queenslander Jackson Allen.

Three players will be culled from the extended 25-man squad today.

CARLTON ruckman Robert Warnock is one of three players dropped for the Blues' blockbuster with arch-rival Collingwood.
