MELBOURNE defeated a young Western Bulldogs side by 12 points, but Brisbane’s clash with St Kilda in Mackay has been cancelled.
In Craigieburn, the Demons came from 19 points down at three-quarter time to defeat the Bulldogs in a scrappy contest.
Jack Watts continues to presented well up forward and booted three goals for the day, while midfield duo Jack Viney (25 disposals) and Tomas Bugg (22) looked impressive in the engine room.
Lin Jong won plenty of the ball for the Bulldogs and Tom Boyd showed some promising signs in the forward line, but didn’t make the most of his opportunities in front of goal.
The only concern for the Demons was an ankle injury to Aaron vandenBerg.
