The Gold Coast Suns kicked off the Tuesday trading frenzy when towering player Peter Wright was sent to the Bombers.

Essendon landed the man, more commonly known as “two metre Peter”, with a future fourth-round pick.

Wright joins the Bombers on a three-year deal after playing 68 games for the Suns since he was picked up with pick 8 in the 2014 Draft.

Melbourne have been active throughout the day as they engaged with the Adelaide Crows in a trade of draft picks.

The Crows sent picks 33 (second round) and 50 (third round) to the Demons in exchange for a future second and fourth round pick.

It’s a move that is expected to help the Demons land wantaway North Melbourne forward Ben Brown.

The Herald Sun’s Jon Ralph reported Brown is likely to land a four-year deal to become a Demon. The Herald Sun’s Sam Landsberger believes the Brown trade could cost the Demons picks 26 and 33.

The Demons weren’t done there however, as they later sent forward Mitch Hannan to the Western Bulldogs in a deal that was floated ahead of the Trade Period.

Hannan played a key role throughout the 2018 season as the Dees surged into the preliminary final, but has only managed 15 games over the past two seasons.

The Bulldogs have been chasing offensive firepower and will send a third-round pick to the Demons in exchange for Hannan.

A third trade in the afternoon from the Demons saw them send ruckman Brayden Preuss to the GWS Giants in exchange for pick 31.
