Sydney Swans celebrate 30 years in Sydney

VOTE for your greatest Sydney Swans 22 man team to commemorate the club's 30 years in the harbour city.

Greatest Sydney Swans team ever - Forwards

WHAT a ride. Since relocating from South Melbourne 30 years ago, the Swans have experienced just about every emotion imaginable - from wooden spoons to a premiership, from flirtations with bankruptcy to extravagant millionaire owners.

To mark the Swans' 30 years in Sydney, we are inviting you to nominate the club's best 22 players since arriving in the Harbour City.

Simply log on to thetelegraph.com.au/aflselector to make your selections from our shortlist. One winner will score a luxury suite at the next all-Sydney derby between the Swans and GWS at ANZ Stadium on June 30.

Expect a tough time at the selection table. The Swans have over the past 30 years had multiple Brownlow Medal winners in Greg Williams, Gerard Healy, Paul Kelly and Adam Goodes, the game's greatest goal-kicker in Tony Lockett and the incomparable Paul Roos. Roos will join Swans tragic Adam Spencer and myself over the course of the week to discuss the club's forwards, defenders and midfielders over the past 30 years. Suffice to say, there has been plenty of lively debate. Let the voting commence.

Despite the protestations of the AFL editor, The Daily Telegraph sports editor exercised his expert discretion and nominated Neil Cordy on the shortlist of Sydney's 22.
