Salty Collingwood fans all have the same thought after grand final bloodbath
Collingwood supporters all had the same thought after the Swans suffered an agonising defeat to Geelong in the AFL grand final.
Watch out everyone, the Collingwood fans are salty.
Magpies supporters were left fuming as the Sydney Swans crumbled to an agonising 81-point defeat to Geelong in the AFL grand final in front of 100,024 fans at the MCG.
The Swans were utterly outclassed on Saturday afternoon; they were outmuscled by the Cats in almost every contest, rarely getting a sniff inside 50 in the first half.
It was an absolute bloodbath.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve lost a game like that,” Sydney coach John Longmire told reporters after the massacre.
“Normally, we give our supporters what I think is pretty good value for money. We just think physically, mentally, we didn’t give ourselves a chance today to do that.
“We really let ourselves down and our supporters down, no question. From the first bounce, the game looked as foreign as what we’ve played it this year. There’s no element that we got right.”
Watching from their lounge rooms and local watering holes, Collingwood’s diehard supporters unanimously had the same thought.
That should have been us.
Of course, there’s no guaranteeing Collingwood, who lost last weekend’s preliminary final to Sydney by one point, would have put up more of a contest.
But Collingwood fans have seemingly forgotten one important detail – you need to actually win the prelim to play in an AFL grand final.
if Collingwood was playing this grand final would be a lot better #AFLGF

Collingwood would have made this a game, we probably wouldâve lost, but at least we wouldâve made it interesting.

âCollingwood would have made this a better gameâ ok but you didnât beat Sydney so itâs irrelevant

As much as I canât stand Collingwood, they deserved to be there much more than the Swans, who may as well not have turned up.

Sydney forward Tom Papley became public enemy No. 1 after he was accused of a potential push in the back on Collingwood’s Darcy Moore during the preliminary final thriller at the SCG.
Many footy pundits believed it should have been judged a free kick, and the decision proved costly – Papley booted a goal to help the Swans book their spot in the AFL season finale.
During Friday’s grand final parade along the Yarra River, a Geelong supporter brought along a banner that quickly caught Papley’s attention.
Alongside a picture of Papley’s potential back push, the banner read: “How Sydney make grand finals.”
The 26-year-old took a video of the banner and posted it to his Instagram Story, laughing at the camera in the four-second clip.
He wasn’t laughing 24 hours later.
Tom Papley loving the support from Collingwood fans. ð

Collingwood fans sharing this as an F you to Papley is pretty funny. Collingwood would've beaten Geelong today. Would've been a better game of footy too. Unluggy pies! https://t.co/OaOwwctLtp
