Richmond Tigers superstar Dustin Martin caught up in Melbourne crime spree
AFL superstar Dustin Martin has unwittingly been caught up in a crime spree in Melbourne after his luxury car was stolen.
Richmond star Dustin Martin has reportedly been caught up in a wild crime spree after his luxury SUV was stolen at a petrol station in Melbourne.
The drama occurred after the 31-year-old lent his car to a friend, who then left the keys inside the Range Rover while paying for fuel, according to 7NEWS.
A 29-year-old Springvale man subsequently spotted the keys in the vehicle before jumping into the driver’s seat and speeding off with the luxury car.

Police reportedly located the car around five hours later.
As police tried to stop the vehicle the thief allegedly rammed the police car.
The thief then fled the scene before he was caught by police.
He has since been charged along with a female accomplice.
Police also allege they found illicit drugs inside Martin’s car, leading to more charges for the thief.
The drama comes after the three-time Norm Smith Medallist was praised by coaches last week for his impressive start to pre-season training.
“We’re rapt that he’s been able to do all the training this pre-season,” McQualter said.
“He hasn’t really missed a session at all, so hopefully it’s a really exciting year ahead for him.”
Martin’s car also made headlines late in 2019 after the Richmond superstar left it parked in the MCG garage for two months following the Tigers’ premiership victory.
Dusty ventured off an on overseas holiday before finally returning to Melbourne and considering bringing the vehicle home.
Trent Cotchin revealed as the Tigers returned to pre-season training that year that Dusty had finally taken the problem off the hands of MCG staff, two months after driving the vehicle on grand final day.
“It’s not at the ‘G anymore, he did pick it up,” Cotchin said.
And he actually went to pick it up himself, so that was a surprise.”
