JUSTIN Westhoff has described his goal of the year contender against St Kilda as “probably the luckiest I have kicked’’.

“It just seemed to bounce the right way, which is always good,’’ the Port Adelaide key forward said of his brilliant third quarter dribbler which effectively ended the Saints resistance at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

“I was trying to go for goal but the odds of that happening, to bounce the way it did and go through the way it did was a bit lucky.

“But it’s always nice to kick one of those type of goals, especially as it was probably a crucial part of the game there in the third quarter, so I was happy to play my part.

“But I definitely would have liked to have kicked those two (missed) set shots more than the lucky two I did kick.’’

While he had two blemishes in front of the sticks, Westhoff’s two goals were freakish.

He booted the first of the game after three minutes with a clever soccer kick from 20 metres.

His second came in the opening minute of the third term when he spoiled an attempted pack mark from St Kilda defender Sam Fisher in the south-western pocket of Adelaide Oval, swooped on the loose ball and bounced a snap shot through the big uprights on the second bounce from just inside the boundary line.

The goal earned him a round 18 goal-of-the-year nomination, along with Richmond’s Brett Deledio and Stewart Crameri.

Can kick a footy into a barrel on the back of a moving ute?

Or how about booting a ball over a house and landing it in a drum?

Maybe you can you kick the ball through a basketball hoop from the halfway line?

Or dribble it along the ground, around a corner and knock over an empty beer can?

On the back of Justin Westhoff’s freak grubber goal against St Kilda on Sunday, we’re on the hunt for the best amateur trick-shot component in South Australia.

We want people to send in videos of their trick shots. It could be just one kick, or it could be a compilation of shots. Keep the videos to less than a minute.

We’ll narrow it down to a list of finalists and then we’ll put it to the people. An online poll will then determine the title of SA’s amateur trick shot king.

The winner will have a chance for a shootout with Port Adelaide livewire Jarman Impey.
