New details on Steve Johnson car theft
AN AFL legend has provided some new information on the theft of Steve Johnson’s car and it’s embarrassing for the GWS man.
STEVE Johnson woke up on Saturday morning to the news that his stolen car had been found.
The shock though for the Greater Western Sydney Giants star was the fact the vehicle had been involved in a police chase.
Police were forced to ram the vehicle as the thieves attempted to evade them as they sped through the South Western Sydney suburb of Riverwood.
A teenager, aged 17, was arrested by police following the incident. Police attempted to stop the car twice, once on the Princes Highway and then at Milperra soon after, before crashing into it in Riverwood.
Johnson found his new Ford Falcon had been stolen on Friday morning and revealed on social media that his golf clubs had been left in the back.

Car has been found - involved in a high speed pursuit across Sydney and crashed... more importantly no news on the golf clubs as of yet! ð¤

Now, the news worsens, and it seems golf clubs was not all Stevie J left in the car. Geelong Cats legend Billy Brownless has released more information on the incident, that is rather embarrassing for the Giants man.
Brownless released “exclusive” information on Triple M’s Rush Hour, revealing that when the vehicle was stopped by police, officers found McDonalds wrappers strewn about the vehicle.
The former Cats star says those wrappers belong to Johnson, and not the thieves.
“When they caught them, the doors have opened, Maccas wrappers and the Maccas drink console (were everywhere),” Brownless told Triple M.
“And guess what, that wasn’t from the blokes that pinched Steve’s car.
“That was Steve’s Maccas. They are running from the cops and are going to pull up at Maccas are they?”
While it’s not clear just how credible Brownless’ information is, perhaps the Giants star is guilty of wanting to taste the new Chicken Big Mac (like all of us).
Johnson is currently out with injury, so any late-night Maccas runs would be frowned upon by coach Leon Cameron.
The GWS forward has remained silent on social media since the incident and is yet to respond to Brownless’ cheeky claim.
Maybe he is busy picking out some new wheels ... or new irons.
