Jeremy Howe likely to leave Melbourne, three clubs including Gold Coast in the market

JEREMY Howe is yet to make a decision on his future but his manager believes the Melbourne flyer is “more likely” to leave the club.

JEREMY Howe is yet to make a decision on his future but his manager believes the Melbourne high flyer is “more likely” to leave the club.

Four clubs including Melbourne and Gold Coast are in the mix for the 25-year-old’s services.

Howe is currently on holiday in Bali and will make a decision as early as next week.

Manager Ben Niall confirmed Howe met with Suns coach Rodney Eade last week.

“There’s a couple clubs in Melbourne that are obviously interested,” Niall told Trade Radio.

“I think he’s [Howe] more likely to go at this stage.

“The ball is in his court to make a decision through next week while he’s away.”

Niall said Howe, used in a variety of roles in his time at Melbourne, would like to specialise in one position.

“What we’re looking for is if he gets in the right environment and he can play in one role which has been an issue for him and master that role he’s got enormous capacities the money will take care of itself,” he said.

“He’s an elite endurance runner ... be he’s a dominant repeat sprinter.

“He’s got an amazing capacity to get up and down the park as a wingman or high half forward.”

Howe has played 87 of a possible 88 games in the past four seasons.

“Jeremy be the first to admit that his first 100 games he hasn’t got the best out of what he’s got in terms of his tool kit.

“What we’d like to do is make sure wherever he goes that his 100 games are elite and he gets in the right environment in a role that he can master and he can focus on one role to get that right.”
