FORMER Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett has teed off on Melbourne’s board after the Demons’ devastating 105-point loss at the MCG.

The Demons had no answers for Hawthorn’s firepower and ball use with Jarryd Roughead (four), Luke Breust (three), Cyril Rioli (three) and Paul Puopolo (two) among seven multiple goalkickers.

Not satisfied with simply revelling in Hawthorn’s clinical demolition, Kennett called for Melbourne’s board — “an abject failure” to resign.

He did not blame the players nor Demons coach Paul Roos for the loss.
